Arriving to Red Frog Beach From Bocas Airport

If you add transportation to your reservation: You will be picked up at the Bocas airport by a member of our staff and taken to an awaiting water-taxi. Enjoy the 15 minute boat ride through the Caribbean mangroves to arrive at Red Frog Beach on Isla Bastimentos.

Water Taxi from Resort (RED FROG to BOCAS TOWN)

Getting around Bocas del Toro by water taxi is easy. The resort offers a boat shuttle back and forth to Bocas town (Isla Colon) that runs on a schedule for a small amount per person each way. Or with advance notice, the front desk can get you a water taxi most anytime you need. Check with the front desk upon arrival for water taxi times to Bocas town.

Driving from Panama City to Bocas del Toro

For the most adventurous, this is a 9 to 12 hour drive from Panama City to Almirante, where you can park in a storage garage, then take a 45-minute boat ride to Bocas Town. Then find our Red Frog Bocas town office and aboard a water taxi to the resort on Isla Bastimentos.

Getting around the resort

The resort is very spread out with paved and unpaved roads. You can rent a golf cart and enjoy the surroundings.

Bocas Weather – Hurricane Free

The weather in Bocas averages 27C or 82F year round. Bocas Del Toro lies 9 degrees above the equator in the hurricane-free zone. The island is lush and tropical and known for its wildlife, unique ecology and remarkable beaches.

Check-in time: 3:00pm / Check-out time: 12:00pm

If you plan to arrive earlier than 3:00pm you are welcome to do so. You can leave your luggage at the resort lobby and spend time on the beach, book a massage or go on a canopy zipline tour. Early check-in and late check-out can be requested for an additional fee.

Provided in Accommodations

Beach and bath towels are provided, as well as shampoo and conditioner. Most units have a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Please verify with your booking agent if you are staying in a unit other than a full private villa.

Credit Card and ATM:

MasterCard and Visa are the two types of credit cards that are generally accepted in Bocas Del Toro and Red Frog Beach. Businesses rarely accept American Express in Bocas del Toro. There is a bank ATM in Bocas town.
